How to Use Sewing Clips for Knitting

  1. Seaming & Assembly: Clamp sweater pieces (like side seams, sleeve caps, or shoulder joins) together before seaming with mattress stitch. Unlike T-pins, clips hold bulky yarn without slipping or stretching out the edges.

  2. Blocking Preparation: Use clips to hold folded edges, hems, or collar bands in place while steam blocking or pinning pieces out to measurement.

  3. Pompoms & Fringe Prep: Secure yarn bundles tightly together when trimming fringe or attaching pompoms to hats.

  4. Keeping Count: Clip every 10 or 20 rows along a long edge (like a cardigan front) so you can easily match length on the second side without recounting every row.
